Halo Movie going to theatres somewhere in 2009

After keeping my eyes glued on the bungie site for quite a long time, I’m proud to say that bungie, microsoft, and movie companies have reached an agreement.

The Halo movie is to be called Halo  Chronicles, featuring a interesting storyline from the Halo universe.

The movie is being directed by Peter Jackson, and is planned to run around 90 minutes.

Right now, the major problem that kept delaying the production of the movie is the arguments between the companies. For example, Microsoft had too much expectations and demands for the new movie, and the movie companies always end up disagreeing with microsoft.

Another major setback is the dropping out of Fox. Fox, a huge movie production company, pulled out of the deal only days before signing the contract, stating that it wanted more “share” of the profits.

Still, now, the production of the halo movie is chugging along at a slow pace.

The movie is scheduled to be released in theatres sometime in 2009.

Halo 4 already in the makings?

Till today, it’s pretty obvious that Halo 3 is the very lifeline of the xbox 360. Like the ying and the yang, the two can’t exist without the other. It seems only right that Microsoft and Bungie should develop a fourth halo game.

Well, confirmed by some major gaming sources, we can now safely say that it’s true. So far, the details that have been confirmed are:

1. The new halo game probably won’t feature the main story of the halo trilogy

2. The storyline is a spinoff from the original

3. The game probably won’t feature master chief

Whatever the new game is, it will be some time before it will be officially announced.

How to Play Xbox, PS3, and Wii Online for Free - A Tutorial

Wanna play Xbox Online for free without having to pay for Xbox Live?

Recently, I found a cool program called Xlink Kai, which uses the Xbox system link feature to connect players around the world, enabling them to play eachother online for free.

Xlink kai supports most game systems so far, e.g. PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360, Wii, Gamecube, PC

What you need:

1. A video game system

2. An extra internet cable

3. A router

What to do:

1. Connect the xbox to the router using the extra internet cable (I’m assuming that you’ve already got a computer connected to the router).

2. Make a new account on the xlink kai website

3. Download and install xlink kai

4. Run xlink kai, and sign in.

5. Run your Xbox, go to system link, then the “create a game” screen.

5. On xlink kai, click the green globe on the top right corner

6. Choose your game system

7. Choose your game type

8. Choose your game

9. Choose your region

10. There should be a list of different game rooms, join one.

11. You should see a game appear on your xbox.

How Xlink Works:

When you join a game room on xlink kai, the program tricks your xbox into thinking that it’s connected to another xbox through system link, therefore, enabling you join that host.

Xlink Kai is a very popular program, and you can almost always find good game hosts there. Although this program can’t compare with Xbox live, it provides a free solution for people with a tight budget.
